Beth White

Beth WhiteBETH WHITE has served as Clerk of the Marion County Circuit Court since Jan 1, 2007.  Prior to her election, Beth served in various capacities in the administration of Bart Peterson, including Director of Constituent Services, Public Access Counselor, Deputy Director of the Department of Metropolitan Development and Deputy Corporation Counsel.  
 
From 1995-1997, Beth was the chief legal counsel at the Marion County Office of Family and Children, where she supervised a large staff of attorneys who championed family rights and child protection issues. 
 
Beth began her legal career first as a litigator at the Indianapolis law firm of Barnes and Thornburg, and then as a Deputy Prosecutor in the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. 
 
A native of Bloomington, Indiana, Beth is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University at Bloomington. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Georgetown University Law Center. An Elder and choir member at Central Christian Church in downtown Indianapolis, Beth also serves on the boards of The Julian Center and Ransburg YMCA. She resides in Irvington on the eastside of Indianapolis.
