Psychoeducational Internship:  The Julian Center provides psychoeducational groups for parents and children in The Julian Center Shelter and for children whose parents participate in The Getting Ahead Workshops (see Circles® of Support).  Topics are designed to equip participants with effective and practical life and coping skills.  Interns co-facilitate groups and participate in program development efforts.  Internships are year-round.

Development Office Internship:  The Development Department is responsible for raising $3,700,000 each year to continue the operations of our initiatives.  Interns in the Development Office  work on a variety of activities which may include marketing, donor communications, silent auction solicitation, grant writing, prospect research, and assistance with our agency’s annual events.

Summer Children’s Program Internship:  Children enrolled in our early enrichment and summer programs are often recovering from the effects of trauma and require patience and compassion from the employees and volunteers who serve them.  Before applying, consider if you have the skills necessary to work day-to-day with children experiencing emotional distress.  The deadline for application submission is May 1, 2012.
