Your $5,000 will help fund the 24 hour crisis
call line and Crisis Call Desk. The Crisis Desk is the first point of
contact for many victims calling for help. Workers first instruct
callers to try to get to a public building such as a store, a gas
station, or some neutral location, and then dispatch cabs to bring them
to safety. Once on site, crisis call managers help them determine their
immediate needs and provide a meal, clothing, personal care items,
linens, and address other personal and/or medical needs. The client is
then given an orientation and provided a secure and comfortable bedroom.
