The Julian Center offers a broad range of services to women and children who are victims of abuse and assault, including counseling, safe shelter, and education.

Counseling Center

Many women and children experience the trauma of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. Counseling at The Julian Center provides intensive dynamic psychotherapy, support, and education to promote healing and positive change for survivors of violence or other life crises.

Shelter Services

Safe shelter from an abusive situation can often be a matter of life or death for women and children. To support their survival, The Julian Center operates a secure shelter for victims of domestic violence where they receive emergency housing, counseling, and support services to assist them along the journey of recovery.

Transitional Housing

The concept of our transitional unit is that of a therapeutic community.  This model is the template for a highly structured program, which aims to achieve behavioral and cognitive changes for our women.  It is a comprehensive, therapeutic and educational program designed to incorporate awareness, accountability, responsibility, and empowerment of women in a protected positive atmosphere.

Education & Advocacy

A critical part of The Julian Center mission is to raise public awareness of violence against women and the tremendous emotional, physical, and economic costs of this violence. Members of our staff and Speakers Bureau are available for presentations to your group or organization.
