Some work is on an as-needed basis and some is weekly or monthly. We have needs during week days, week day evenings,
and on weekends. Some volunteer assignments also require
training after orientation such as child care (age 16 and older),
Speaker's Bureau, and crisis calls (age 18 and older). Please
see orientation and direction notes below.
Volunteer Orientation
We ask all new volunteers to attend an orientation session
first, to be introduced to our services, the issues of domestic
violence, and to learn the specifics about different ways to
volunteer. Our volunteer orientations are scheduled on the
first Tuesday night of each month from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the
Administrative Office, 2011 North Meridian Street.
If you need other
information, please feel free to contact our Volunteer Coordinator
at 317.941.2212, or email The Julian Center by clicking
here. Please also check out the rest of our web site.
