We need your help! The Julian Center has many volunteer opportunities
for individuals, families, and groups that want to help victims
of domestic violence. Your gift of time and energy helps strengthen
our resources and offers hope and healing to many in our community.
Volunteers help support a number of programs and activities at
The Julian Center:
Shelter Support
For the protection of the residents, staff and volunteers, shelter-related
training and a commitment to a regular volunteer schedule are
required for individuals interested in working at the shelter.
For more information about volunteering at the Shelter, please
call the Volunteer Coordinator at 317.941.2215.
Fundraising Events
The annual Amish Country Market and other fundraising events
are fun ways for individuals and groups to get involved! For more
information on these events, see our Calendar
of Events.
Thrifty Threads
The Julian Center resale store, Thrifty
Threads, needs volunteer support to process donations and
help with merchandising tasks. Volunteers also assist with donation
drives and collection.
Speakers Bureau/Community Outreach
Speakers Bureau and community
outreach volunteers participate in activities and events to raise
public awareness about domestic violence. Speakers Bureau volunteers
meet monthly to schedule outreach opportunities, mentor new members,
and participate in ongoing training and educational programming.
Administrative Offices

data entry, volunteer programming, and communication projects.
