Hoops and Heroes – October 19
October 19 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
It’s that time again when two basketball giants meet on the hardwoods to settle a score.
Which is better – the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department or the Indianapolis Fire Department?
Competition with a Cause
The annual basketball hardcourt showdown between the Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD is a contest of world champion athletes battling for bragging rights. If the pros aren’t playing, you can bet this is the hottest game in town.
Together these players have traveled the globe, representing Indy’s finest by winning national and world championships. For this one afternoon, they compete to honor their own squadrons and an even greater good: recognizing and supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
Two teams. Two halves. One game. One cause. The ultimate prize – bragging rights.
