Empowering You to Recover and Rebuild Your Life

Empowering clients and assisting survivors to complete self-sufficiency is imperative for survivors of domestic violence.

Programs offered at The Julian Center include a Career Workshop, a resume building workshop, where clients receive resume and cover letter writing assistance, assistance with applying for careers, clothing for job interviews, and interview preparation.

Financial Empowerment is a six-course group where financial basics are taught and how to move forward after experiencing financial abuse. We also offer a 2:1 financial match with this group to assist our clients in becoming financially self-sufficient.

Nutrition and Wellness is a wellness program where survivors learn the basics of nutrition while also learning the importance of exercise. We believe that achieving self-sufficiency before exiting our emergency shelter better prepares our clients to succeed after leaving our shelter.

In 2022, Passport to Your Future will be implemented for all survivors receiving services to inspire them to partake in self-sufficiency programming to work towards complete self-sufficiency.
